Dennis Minott, PhD
Dennis is accopmlished in the field of science and technology. He is a visionary, an entrepreneur and an ecucator who is committed to human and national development. I first met him when I was a summer worker at the Jamaica Bauxite Institute (JBI) in 1977.I was immediately struck by his creative genius when he designed abd built a Bomb Digester for conducting analysis of bauxite samples to exacting levels of precision.
I was then to participate in a number of Dennis Minott led research and development projects leading to the establishment of the firm ENERPLAN and the invention and patenting of a process for the commercial production of Energas.
Perhaps his greatest contribution to society is through the Association of Quietly Excellent Scholars and Thinkers (AQUEST) a programme which fe founded tp create opportunities for gifted students to perform to their full potential gaining many scholarships to ivy league universities. Needless to say I've not only been mentored but greatly influended by Dr. Minott to whom I give credit for motivating me to whatever success I may have achieved
